Bioengineer and NAU Assistant Professor Amir Arzani was awarded an NSF grant to improve the accuracy of blood flow modeling.

The National Science Foundation (NSF) awarded Arzani, director of NAU’s Cardiovascular Biomechanics Lab, a $507,642 grant to develop software that integrates multiple approaches to improve blood flow modelling and lead to a better understanding of cardiovascular disease. Additionally, the award will support the development of an educational program designed to generate interest in computer modeling and engineering.
