Join the Arizona Teachers Academy at NAU

Shape the future of education

If you’re looking to advance teaching in Arizona and support your community, the Teachers Academy has the pathway.

Through the Teachers Academy at NAU, you can earn a degree in education leading to teacher certification and:

  • receive a Teachers Academy scholarship to cover any remaining tuition and mandatory student fee balances in your account
  • impact students at an Arizona public school with a teaching position, empowering you to make a positive difference
  • kickstart your teaching career by receiving hands-on guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities

Please Note:

Participation in the Arizona Teachers Academy at NAU is first-come, first-served for students who complete all eligibility requirements, up to the allowable funding provided by the state.

Requirements for Arizona Teachers Academy applicants

Choose

an eligible ATA undergraduate or graduate education program that leads to teacher certification or enhances Mathematics or Science teaching knowledge and skills.

Commit

to teaching one year for every year (or any portion of a year) you receive an ATA Scholarship in an Arizona public school (district, charter, or Bureau of Indian Education school located in Arizona).

Complete

a current FAFSA and an ATA Scholarship will be provided to cover any remaining tuition and mandatory fees after all available grant aid and tuition-based scholarships have been applied.
