The Achievement Center for Educators

Providing opportunities to connect and excel from admission to graduation

The College of Education Achievement Center for Educators supports educator development by providing opportunities beginning with admission all the way through graduation. With ACE students will:

  • learn through BENCHMARK courses, which are the requirements for the major,
  • prepare through ESSENTIALS, which are the tasks and milestones necessary for progression through the major; and
  • engage through TOUCHSTONE events, which are the professional development opportunities and workshops that provide engagement and support persistence.

Achievement Sequence

The Achievement Sequence provides students with a framework that fosters achievement and organizes opportunities and support. It serves as a mechanism for understanding where students are in the process of becoming a teacher. From admission to graduation to induction into your career, each tier builds upon the previous, incorporating the Core Propositions* required of a professional teacher.

Tier 1 – Firm Foundations
Tier 2 – Community of Practice
Tier 3 – Intensive Experience
Tier 4 – Career Induction
