Join the department of Comparative Cultural Studies for the third installment of Let’s Anime!, a series of film screenings and lectures offered each semester (and often with snacks)!
On March 28, Let’s Anime! presents “The Wind Rises,” a fictionalized biography about the life of aeronautical engineer Jiro Horikoshi produced by Studio Ghibli in 2013, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in Liberal Arts room 120. Prior to the screening, Associate Professor of Practice Carter McCormick (NAU School of Communication), Associate Teaching Professor of Japanese Dr. Reiko Akiyama (NAU department of Global Languages and Cultures), and Instructor Patrick Edward Kelley (NAU School of Informatics, Computing, and Cyber Systems) will discuss the film, history, and culture. After the screening, the panel will participate in a Q & A session with the audience.
