Summer short term faculty led programs
The Department of Comparative Cultural Studies offers a number of short-term study abroad opportunities in the Summer. Among these are programs at the Siena School for Liberal Arts that alternates between “Daily Life in Tuscany” with Dr. Alexandra Carpino, Art History, and “Sustainability” with Dr. Gioia Woods, Humanities.
Dr. Paul Donnelly, Religious Studies, takes students to Northwest India, to the province of Himachal Pradash, each year to experience Hindu and Buddhist cultures. The group visits Buddhist monasteries high in the Himalayas and takes a short trek through the mountains to learn how local villagers live and worship. This is a 3 credit unit program for AHI credit.
