Portfolio program
The Portfolio units assist students with their post-secondary education and subsequent career pursuits. Our intent is to keep students focused and on track for post-secondary education.
Upward Bound students receive six Portfolio units each year, and, with the successful completion of each Portfolio unit, they are eligible for a stipend. The structure of the Portfolio Program enables participants to work independently on large-scale projects each month, which helps participants build self-motivation, time management, and independent learning, and assertiveness skills essential for post-secondary success. Participants receive the following monthly assignments:

Students and parent(s) must sign a Portfolio contract at the beginning of each academic year. The Portfolio contract confirms the student’s commitment and documents the student’s progress on portfolio completion.
