Upward Bound (UB) is a federal TRiO Program providing educational services and college preparatory assistance to high school students who are from disadvantaged background and/or will be first-generation college graduates.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the NAU Upward Bound Program has transitioned to e-services and online learning opportunities until further notice. The TRIO Upward Bound Program will continue to operate our office virtually during normal business hours (Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) via email, text, phone, Zoom or other modalities. For up-to-date COVID-19 information, visit the CDC website or your local county’s Department of Public Health site.
The NAU Upward Bound Program is committed to maintaining the continuity of services and to the extent possible minimize the disruption of services. If you have any questions or need further information, please email at UpwardBound@nau.edu or contact us at (928) 523-2984. Stay safe, healthy, and continue practicing physical distancing!
Upward Bound is designed to increase the retention and graduation rates of high school students who are low-income or first-generation college students (parents have not earned a 4-year college degree). Upward Bound provides services to students to develop academic, social, and life-long learning skills necessary to graduate from high school and college.
