Stade Riggs, an NAU junior studying Health Sciences – Fitness Wellness, competed in the College National Finals Rodeo.
Stade Riggs credits rodeo with developing the work ethic he needed to succeed in his education and in life. Riggs, who is Navajo, was named the Grand Canyon Region Saddle Bronc Champion by the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association. This qualified him to compete in the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyoming, June 12–18, where he finished in 17th place.
