Anthropology Accordion Closed
The Anthropology Club looks to expand interest in Anthropology and to explore the ins and outs of cultures, methods, and artifacts, as well other parts of discipline itself through presentations, demonstrations, field trips, hands on crafting, and other means.
TravelEd (Travel Education) is an NAU student group with the purpose of educating ourselves and our peers about the archeology areas near NAU and the surrounding Southwest United States.
SAGA – Student Association of Graduate Anthropologist. The mission of this group is to improve the overall experience of Anthropology graduate student education at Northern Arizona University.
Applied Indigenous Studies Accordion Closed
CHEI – Connecting Higher Ed Indigenously is a student organization dedicated to working with Indigenous communities not only in Arizona but throughout the world. CHEI members also work to promote higher education for Indigenous students through a variety of activities and programs.

DSR-TKA – Delta Sigma Rho-Tau Kappa Alpha is an intercollegiate honor society devoted to the ideals of public speaking and forensics excellence. The team attends the national conference where students compete with students from other DSR-TKA member schools.
The NAU Forensics team NAU Forensics is a competitive student team that practices and competes at local, regional, and national speech and debate tournaments each year. Our goal is to improve students’ skills in speaking, listening, research and writing, and reasoning through hands-on practice and competition.
SCA – Speech Communication Association is an association for students interested in speech communication major and minor courses. Members present papers at professional meetings, provide service related to speech activities in the School of Communication, and have regular opportunities to visit with distinguished speech scholars from other campuses.
PAD – Phi Alpha Delta is the nation’s largest law fraternity where members develop contacts with PAD law students, legal educators, attorneys, and judges. Pre-law students meet with law students at potential future schools and chapters sponsor educational lectures, panels, and discussions.
PRSSA – Public Relations Student Society of America is the foremost organization for students interested in public relations and communications. The group seeks to advance the public relations profession by nurturing generations of future professionals.
Lambda Pi Eta is an intercollegiate honor society for speech communication undergraduate majors and minors. Students also participate in NAU Speech Communication Association (NAU SCA).
The National Press Photographers Association is a professional organization dedicated to both print and broadcast photojournalism. Students attend workshops and conventions; have reduced rates on equipment and access to a forum for nationwide job listings; professional assistance in portfolio creation; entering photography competitions and finding summer internships and scholarships.
NAMA – Northern Arizona Merchandising Association is a student organization providing merchandising majors and minors the opportunity to participate in activities related to the world of fashion: textiles and apparel manufacturing, apparel design, marketing of apparel products and the retail environment. Guest speakers, workshops, and field trips to trade shows provide insight as “real world” experiences are shared between professionals and students.
PJ/One is a student and community photography and photojournalism group that promotes and encourages photojournalism at the university, in Flagstaff, and in the Southwest region.
Society of Environmental Communication provides a multi-disciplinary forum for environmentally-conscious NAU students to express and apply their ideas and opinions. We endeavor to enhance community environmental awareness.
SPJ – Society of Professional Journalists is a network of journalists across the country; maintain career connections; have access to a database of breaking industry news; are eligible for scholarships, fellowships, and internships; have special benefits such as insurance, health plans, discounted travel and career clothes. Students become well-versed in First Amendment rights, in the ethics that govern the profession and in the relationship that exists among the public, government and the press.
UTV62 is the School of Communication’s student-run television station and production studio. Based on entertainment industry models, UTV students gain practical knowledge and experience working in whatever areas interest them including programming, writing, production, marketing, and graphic design.
The Lumberjack is NAU’s award-winning student newspaper. The Lumberjack provides information, an open forum to the NAU community on a weekly basis, and professional experiences for aspiring journalists as well as students from other disciplines interested in working on a campus newspaper.
KJACK RADIO is a radio programming service originating in the School of Communication. Students can receive course credit for working at the station (1680 AM radio on campus). The program format for KJACK is generally alternative rock with specialty shows featuring differing musical styles and cultural influences and newscasts.
NAU Live is a media lab that provides news and entertainment programming written, produced and directed by student staff under the supervision of a faculty adviser. Students have produced news programs, news magazine shows, drama series and comedy shows.
Criminology and Criminal Justice Accordion Closed
The Criminal Justice Club connects people who have any interest what-so-ever in criminal justice, whether you are majoring in this field or not. Connect with those interested in criminal justice while outside of the classroom.
Alpha Phi Sigma – is the National Criminal Justice Honor Society for criminal justice majors. Supported by the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences, Alpha Phi Sigma recognizes the academic excellence of undergraduate and graduate students of criminal justice.
The GSA – Criminology and Criminal Justice Graduate Student Association exists to create a sense of community amongst criminology graduate students and the faculty and staff in this department.

The African Student Association promotes African culture within the university, community, and association. It supports and assists African students at the university, and works with other campus organizations.
The Black Student Union of Northern Arizona University is an established organization associated ourselves for the purpose of motivating students to stay actively involved on campus, coordinating activities to strengthen cultural awareness and provide a professionally organized body of students on campus that deal with social cultural and educational issues.
The CSSA – Chinese Student and Scholar Association is a non-profit organization that introduces and share Chinese culture and helps Chinese students and scholars in the aspects of daily life, career development in the U.S.
GAO – Gamma Alpha Omega is a Latina-founded community service sorority established in 2002. We are here to serve the community and promote the quest for higher education.
Members of the HAPA Hawaiian Club include students from Hawaii and all over the Continental U.S. Through interaction with one another, members are able to share and teach their culture.
The HHS – Hispanic Honor Society is functioning as an honorary service society. We embody the ideals of character, culture, leadership, scholarship, and service while promoting the Hispanic culture at Northern Arizona University and in the Flagstaff community.
The I-Club – International Club at NAU is a social club with the goal of spreading cultural awareness throughout NAU and Flagstaff.
The purpose of the Kappa Delta Chi is to promote the values of Unity, Honesty, Integrity, and Leadership among women at all colleges and universities.

MUN – Model United Nations is an award-winning student organization at NAU. Participants learn about the workings and theory of the United Nations with simulated sessions at intercollegiate conferences. Students represent different members of the world community, getting to know and understand their specific issues and governments while they develop solutions to global issues.

The Psychology Club is a group of hyper-vigilant, motivated and fun individuals, cultivating a community pertaining to the interest of psychology. We work in tandem with the Psi Chi Honor Society and do fun things. Come check us out!
Psi Chi is the international honor society in psychology. We provide information and opportunities to enhance members’ professional and personal lives through our lively and encouraging environment, scholarship, and community service.
The purpose of SASP – Student Affiliates in School Psychology is to promote the academic and professional success of NAU’s School Psychology students. This organization is a recognized local chapter of the national parent organization and recognizes its allegiance to both NASP and APA (Div 16).

Phi Alpha Honor Society. The purpose of Phi Alpha Honor Society is to provide a closer bond among students of social work and promote humanitarian goals and ideas. AKD – Alpha Kappa Delta Honor Society is the international sociological honor society. AKD is a non-secret, democratic, international society of scholars dedicated to the ideal of Athropon Katamannthanein Diakonesin or “to investigate humanity for the purpose of service.
