Senior Social Work students of class SW 423, taught by Anne Medill, completed fifteen community change projects in partnership with eleven organizations and raised $18,000 in cash and in-kind donations including professional community members volunteering their time to participate in the community project events. One project, in collaboration with CUDDLE and CASA, focused on creating macro changes in the lives of young foster children and raised $741 in monetary donations and $2,850 in in-kind donations. The photo to the right showcases Operation Killip Carnival. The project donated twenty-five bags of Thanksgiving food to families in need and held a carnival for the students. The group stated, “The most rewarding part of the process was getting to see the kids’ excitement and joy at the carnival.”
