The Immersive + Interactive Virtual Reality (IVR) Lab has created a new service center to fulfill the needs of NAU and other community partners doing what it does best—creating innovative communication solutions in print, video and interactive media. Assisted by 25 interns working for the IVR lab, expertise spans all of the communication disciplines. Beginning last year, the IVR Lab started work for the Center for Science Teaching and Learning (CSTL), creating a comprehensive branding guide for a NASA Planets project and grant. In addition to completing this branding guide, interns from the IVR Lab have created full print teachers’ guides, videos, presentation templates and more for this extensive project. Service center work is completed by seniors in paid positions and staff hired from an internship pool. For more information or to collaborate, please contact Lab Director Giovanni Castillo.
