Hiring student employees
Employers interested in hiring Federal Work-Study (FWS) or Student Wage employees can register as an employer and post open positions on Handshake.
Hiring Federal Work-Study (FWS) student employees
You must complete a 30-minute Federal Work-Study Hiring training session. Contact the FWS Coordinator at 928-523-6036 or FederalWorkStudy@nau.edu to schedule your training.
Once you complete the training, you’ll be able to view students’ FWS eligibility and complete the hiring form. The hiring form process forwards the information to Human Resources/Payroll.
The FWS Hiring form must be submitted before each financial aid award period (fall-spring, or summer).
