Meet Julia Gardner, Program Director and faculty member for the Public Health undergraduate program at NAU. Recently, Julia was recognized with the Award for Excellence in Teaching & Learning. She says, “I’ve always had a passion for helping others. When I first started college, I didn’t even know what public health was. Like many of our public health students, I initially considered pursuing nursing. However, after a personal experience involving a family member suffering from a preventable disease, I realized I wanted a career dedicated to preventive healthcare.” Learn more about Julia on the blog.
