Debby McCormick has been a member of the Northern Arizona University Health Sciences faculty since 1999. Prior to coming to NAU, she taught at the University of Texas at San Antonio. She has also taught at Lamar University and Texas State University. Debby earned her Ph.D. from Texas A&M University in Health Education in 1995. Her personal and academic interests are in social, emotional, and spiritual aspects of health and well-being.
Debby has additional degrees in Health and Kinesiology (M.S. from Baylor University, Waco, Texas) and Physical Education (B.S. from University of Mary-Hardin Baylor, Belton, Texas). She has co-authored two health textbooks.
Primary Teaching Areas in the Department: Allied Health; Health and Wellness Coaching (minor). Debby has taught a variety of online courses at NAU since 2000.
