NAU’s two all-you-care-to-eat dining halls, The Hot Spot and The DüB, serve up variety, flexibility, and serious flavor. With diverse menus and options for every dietary need, they’re more than just dining spots, they’re central to campus life.

Both locations accept meal plans, Dining Dollars, JacksDebit Express (JDE), and credit/debit cards, so eating well is always affordable, convenient and accessible.

The Hot Spot: A dynamic dining destination

Located in the heart of the University Union, The Hot Spot offers a wide variety of flavors across eight unique stations. Whether you want comfort food, global dishes, a fresh salad, or a customized stir-fry, this dining hub has it all. It’s perfect for quick bites or relaxed meals with friends.

Located in the du Bois South Union, The DüB is a modern take on all-you-care-to-eat dining. From slow-roasted meats to globally inspired dishes and plant-forward meals, you’ll find something to match every craving. It also features a dedicated allergen-friendly zone so everyone can enjoy a safe, satisfying meal.

Food allergies and special dining needs

Allergen identification

Campus dining labels foods that contain common allergens, gluten, and MSG. In the Hot Spot and DüB Dining District, this can be found in the NAUgo app, or on the menu identifier cards available where you grab your food.

At Flagstaff campus restaurants, information about common allergens and gluten containing ingredients can be fund in the NAUgo app.

NAUgo App

Allergen information is available on the NAUgo App. By following the click-path live, eat, and nutrition and allergens, you can view information about the top eight allergens and additional special dietary information.

Steps you can take to stay safe
  • Kindly alert servers of your allergy or restriction.
  • Ask your server to change their gloves or prepare your meal in a separate area to eliminate cross-contact.
  • If your server is unsure of a menu item's ingredients or you would like to take an extra precaution, ask to speak with the manager.
  • Be sure to carry your Epi-Pen or other medication with you at all times in case of an emergency.
  • Contact the dietitian with Campus Health Services to arrange a dining tour and for assistance with finding foods to help meet your needs.

Trained staff

Our staff is trained to safely manage good and decrease cross-contact with allergens. All managers receive additional allergen trainings and are happy to help answer your questions and review product labels with you.
