Workshop held at the PBC | Increasing Awareness of Burnout Through an Interactive Workshop for Allied Health Profession Students

Dr. Oaklee Rogers, the College of Health and Human Services Associate Dean, and Zac Baker, Academic Success Coordinator, hosted an interprofessional workshop for all first-year athletic training, occupational therapy, physician assistant, and physical therapy students at the Phoenix Bioscience Core last week. The 90-minute workshop focused on understanding the stress cycle and burnout, as well as identifying and developing strategies to mitigate stress and burnout as a student and future healthcare provider. The students were able to try three interactive activities, including chair yoga and breathing exercises.
