Undergraduate Symposium awards


Dental Hygiene student Annie Richardson won first place for her presentation titled “The Relationship Between Periodontal Disease and Alzheimer’s Disease”.

Dental Hygiene students, Amy Wuthrich and Leah Janeski,  tied for second with their presentation titled “Silver Amalgam Versus Resin Composite Dental Fillings”. Also tied for second, Health Sciences students, Joshua Gates, Amy Gelatt, Kayla Hayes, and Madeline Lyon, with their presentation titled “Lifestyles intervention for High Risk Middle School Students”.

Nursing students, Taylor Stennerson and Erin Strohmeyer, tied for third with their presentation titled “Nurse Fatigue in Critical Care Settings.” Also tied for third, Dental Hygiene student, Cassandra Ping with her presentation titled “Gluma® Compared to a Placebo in the Treatment of Dentin Hypersensitivity.”
