Arizona Institute for Education and the Economy


The Arizona Institute for Education and the Economy (AIEE) at NAU cultivates policies and solutions that improve K–12 outcomes and ensure long-term statewide economic prosperity. By studying and leveraging research and practices that drive educational excellence and economic equity, AIEE is committed to partnerships that lead to better outcomes for all students in the state.

Who we are

AlEE convenes a wide range of community partners to build knowledge, create urgency, and take bold action on the many gaps and challenges facing Arizona’s youth today. We seek solutions that will drive economic mobility and equitable success for Arizona students. Through its partnerships, AIEE develops initiatives throughout the state that inspire improvement and innovation within and in support of Arizona’s K-12 educational system.

The partners and members of AIEE will:

  • recommend public policy
  • publish position papers
  • produce actionable, replicable solutions
  • support aligned agencies, organizations, and initiatives
  • lead and launch strategic initiatives and investments

Our mission

The Institute strives to fulfill its mission of Cultivating Solutions that Drive Educational and Economic Equity and Prosperity in Arizona through a C4 Collective Impact model.
