NAU advisors can help you determine the courses to take as you pursue your degree. The College of Education has staff and faculty members available to ensure your path to degree completion is on the right track. Whether you’re a new student, transfer student, online student, or continuing student, advising services are available to you.
Undergraduate advising

Want to know the course path that will help lead you in the right direction toward your degree? Use a progression plan as a guide.
First-year students and undeclared students
All freshmen are advised at the Gateway Student Success Center. Once students reach their sophomore year, they are assigned to an advisor in the College of Education Student Services Office.
COE online and community campus students
Current NAU online and community campus students are automatically assigned to an advisor in the COE Student Services Office. Students are encouraged to use NAU’s appointment planner.
Continuing and transfer students, sophomore status or above
After their freshmen year, COE students on the Flagstaff Mountain campus are automatically assigned to an advisor in the COE-Student Services Office. Students are encouraged to use NAU’s appointment planner.

Graduate advising
Graduate programs of study
Programs of study include a set of courses and other work that must be successfully completed before qualifying for a graduate degree, diploma, or certificate. Graduate students are responsible for knowledge of their program’s curriculum requirements for the year in which they began their graduate studies.
