Instrumental and Analytical Chemistry for Solar Cells and Organic Electronics
Our research focuses on reactions that happen at interfaces, whether it is the outside surface or an interface buried within a material or device. We focus on finding the right instrument to analyze the problem, whether in-house, elsewhere at NAU, or with external collaborators or companies. Some examples of research areas that interest us are: organic electronics, solar cell perovskite, water purification, and instrument design.
Our laboratory is located on the 3rd floor in the new Science and Health Building on the north side of NAU campus in Flagstaff, Arizona.
Our group consists of between 4-12 undergraduate researchers and up to 2 Master’s students. Undergraduate students spend 3-15 hours/week in the laboratory depending on their schedules. Typically 2-5 students work together on a project. The composition varies from year-to-year.
Interested students are encouraged to email Dr. Lee and arrange a time to discuss interests and possibilities. Students who can commit more than 1 year will gain the most from the experience. Whether here or in another laboratory, get involved in research early in your education.
