CARE has recently rebranded the annual “closing ceremony” to a “celebration ceremony”! At the end of every 8 week research summer we like to highlight every student’s research with a poster session followed by an awards luncheon. This year our keynote speaker was Dr. Cliff Poodry, a trailblazer for BIPOC (black, indigenous, & people of color) voices in STEM. He has helped create the nationally renowned Society for Advancing Chicanos and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS) organization.
