Whether you love to travel, are an international student, or simply want to live in a dynamic community with students from around the world, your first step to make the International House learning community your new home is to apply.

Admissions process

Spring 2024 Applicants

1. Submit a Campus Living lease agreement
   Apply to live on campus with NAU Campus Living online through the NAU Housing Portal. The lease agreement for Spring 2024 will be available on October 2, 2023.
2. Select the International House in the Housing Portal
   The International House is one of the options for focused communities in Campus Living’s Housing Portal. Select your interest in living in the I-House and complete the additional steps in the Housing Portal to apply for the International House.
3. Notifications
   Applicants for Spring 2024 will be notified of their status around mid-December 2023. If accepted, a place in the I-House will be reserved for you.
4. Room assignments
   Students who are accepted into the NAU International House will be assigned their room in the International House. Any roommate requests will be considered at this time. Room assignments will be available in the Housing Portal in early January 2024.

Fall 2024 Applicants

1. Submit a Campus Living lease agreement.
   Apply online to live on campus with NAU Campus Living through the NAU Housing Portal. The lease agreement for Academic Year 2024-2025 will be available on November 1, 2023. Choose this lease agreement even if you will only be staying for the Fall 2024 semester.
2. Select the International House in the Housing Portal
   The International House is one of the options for focused communities in Campus Living’s Housing Portal. Select your interest in living in the I-House and complete the additional steps in the Housing Portal to apply for the International House. The focused community application will open on November 1, 2023.
3. Notifications
   Applicants for Fall 2024 who already live on campus will be notified if they have been accepted into the International House on a rolling basis. Applicants for Fall 2024 who do not already live on campus, or who are new to NAU will be notified around the beginning of May 2024 if they have been accepted into the International House.
4. Room assignments
   Students who are accepted into the I-House who are currently in NAU on-campus housing will have a room selection time assigned to them to be able to select their I-House room in the NAU Housing Portal.

Students who are accepted into the NAU I-House who are coming from off-campus or overseas will have their room assigned to them in the Housing Portal based on available space. If applicants have a roommate request, it will be considered at this time. This process will happen late in May 2024.
