Apply for a bachelor’s degree

Start your academic journey at NAU today

Steps to apply

Follow the steps below to apply as a full-time student seeking a bachelor’s degree.

1. Complete an online application

Complete the online application and pay the $50 application fee. You will be required to pay the application fee while completing your online application.

2. Submit your passport copy

Upload a copy of your passport to your application or email it to studynau@nau.edu.

3. Submit your official transcripts

Upload copies of your official transcripts from all secondary (high school) and post-secondary (college/university) education to your application for the admission evaluation (including vocational and ESL transcripts).  You can also email them to studynau@nau.edu.  Transcripts not issued in English by the institution must be accompanied by a certified English translation. Failure to provide complete information may delay your admission decision.

First-year students and transfer students without an associate degree:

  • We require a minimum 2.5 grade-point average (GPA) on a 4-point scale for first-year and transfer students without an associate degree.

Transfer students:

  • Students with an associate degree from an accredited US college/university may be admitted with a 2.0 GPA (4-point scale).
  • Transfer students with an associate degree from an accredited US college/university only need to submit that transcript.  A high school transcript is not required.
  • Transfer students (without an associate degree from a US institution) need to submit their high school transcripts/diploma in addition to the college transcripts.

NAU accepts transcript evaluations from National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) approved organizations.  However, the result of a transcript evaluation does not guarantee that transfer credits will be awarded.  All transcripts from post-secondary institutions in Nigeria must be evaluated by a NACES-approved service.

Official transcripts and evaluations must be sent directly from the institution electronically to studynau@nau.edu (from a verifiable school email address) or by mail to the address below:

Northern Arizona University
