Congratulations to our graduating seniors in a CCS minor program!

Posted by Rebekah Pratt-Sturges on May 9, 2023

We are proud of our graduating seniors in CCS minors for spring 2023! We chose to feature a few of our students in our minor programs as the semester ends.

Shannon Dixon will graduate this week with a degree in Strategic Communication with an emphasis in Advertising, a minor in Art History, and a certificate in Marketing and would like to work at an advertising or marketing firm. Her favorite class was CCS 408 Internship. Shannon interned for a semester at the Clara M. Lovett Art Museum in outreach and social media and writes “I really appreciated the internship with the museum because I was able to gain experience in both my major and minor simultaneously. It made me consider working or volunteering for a museum in the future. I think I would really enjoy working for a museum and being around creativity all the time, but I would like to try a career within my major first.”

Eliza Romero will graduate this week with a degree in Visual Communication with an emphasis in Graphic Design and a minor in Museum Studies.  After graduation, she intend to move to Phoenix while still continuing to work for the NAU Digital Marketing team. Over the course of her minor, she is most proud of the multiple internships she completed for CCS and for the College of Arts and Letters. She writes “They provided me with experience that has shaped me as both a student and an individual in the workplace. I will forever be grateful for my time at both internships along with the mentors who helped me grow.” Eliza’s favorite class was ARH 346 Baroque and Rococo Art and remarked the course was “was one of the best classes I took! It was extremely enjoyable to me as someone who loves art history and the Rococo period. The class felt like a fun escape in comparison to my other courses.”
