Riles Exhibitions

The College of Arts and Letters hosts rotating exhibitions in the Riles building throughout the year. Current exhibits are available to the public Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the exception of university holidays.

The Flagstaff Big Read

What is the Flagstaff Big Read? It’s a collaboration between the College of Arts and Letters and multiple community and campus organizations including: The Flagstaff City – Coconino County Public Libraries, Native Americans for Community Action, Coconino Community College, Bright Side Book Shop, Culture Connection AZ, South Side Community Association, NAU’s Cline Library, Flagstaff Literacy Center, and the Museum of Northern Arizona!

Staff and volunteers from all of these fabulous organizations are putting together a slate of activities and programs for you this semester all organized around the big read: Tommy Orange’s There There.

Films

The College of Arts and Letters hosts a diverse array of free films throughout the year, from documentaries to classics to films from around the globe.

Lectures and discussions

The College of Arts and Letters hosts many free lectures and discussion throughout the year. We welcome the community to participate in these celebrations and debates centered on the arts and humanities.

NAU Art Museums

The College of Arts and Letters is proud to host many free art and design exhibitions which are open to the public in both the Clara M. Lovett Art Museum, housed in NAU’s Old Main, and The Beasley Art Gallery located in the Performing and Fine Arts Building.
