The Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internships (SULI) program encourages undergraduate students and recent graduates to pursue science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) careers by providing research experiences at the Department of Energy (DOE) laboratories. Selected students participate as interns appointed at one of 17 participating DOE laboratories/facilities. They perform research, under the guidance of laboratory staff scientists or engineers, on projects supporting the DOE mission. Benefits for awardees include a $600/week stipend and travel reimbursement.

The ¡MIRA! SCHOLARS program offers funded research opportunities in Materials Science to undergraduates pursuing ANY science or engineering degree. No laboratory experience is necessary and awardees will receive a competitive hourly wage for performing their research under the supervision of a ¡MIRA! faculty member.
