Experiential learning
One of the hallmarks of an NAU degree is hands-on learning experiences you won’t find anywhere else. Even undergraduate students can take part in academic research and real-world experiences usually reserved for graduate students at other universities.

NAU Honors College
NAU had the first Honors program in the state of Arizona, and that tradition of academic excellence continues today. Here, you’ll be part of a tight-knit community of academically driven scholars that will challenge you through exciting research, unique projects, and out-of-class opportunities you truly care about. Our discussion-based Honors courses fill your general education and major requirements, so you get extra quality, not extra courses.
