Please include the three following items in your text or email: 1) your phone number, 2) the day and time you want to meet, and 3) the type of appointment you want (in-person, Zoom, or email).
You should receive a reply within 24 hours on weekdays.
What consultants do and don’t do
Writing Center consultants provide encouragement, tools, and strategies to help students improve their own papers; however, consultants do not proofread, edit, or revise students’ papers or tell them what to write.
Consultants also help students learn to recognize and correct patterns of errors themselves, but students and faculty should be aware that not all writing issues can be addressed during a single appointment.
Consultants may recommend follow-up appointments in order to help students strengthen their writing skills over a reasonable period of time.
