NAU–Yuma Coronavirus Update


Here is a list of the availability of NAU-Yuma offices and services:

Academic Complex Computer Lab

The ACCL is open Monday through Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m, and 1:pm to 5:00 p.m. on Friday  . In compliance with current CDC guidelines on the Coronavirus/COVID 19 situation, only 36 students at a time are allowed in the computer lab, and 10 more are allowed in the adjoining computer classroom. The ACCL phone number is 928-344-7796.

Academic Library

NAU students can still access and request books and articles through the Cline Library at nau.edu/library . Chat reference is also available through the Cline Library website. Students can also contact the NAU-Yuma librarian at karen.harag@nau.edu to ask questions or set-up a Zoom meeting. Karen says no question is too big or too small.

Advising Center

Academic Advisors are available to assist students by phone or Zoom appointments on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and call-ins are accepted on Tuesdays from 9:00-11:00 a.m. and from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on a first call, first served basis. Students can make appointments online at appointments.nau.edu/academic-advising or by calling 928-317-6432.

NAU-Yuma Front Office, AC Bldg.

The Front Office in the AC Building is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The numbers are 928-317-6063, 928-317-6450, and 928-317-6440.

Student Services Center, 3C Bldg.

For information on admissions, FAFSA, pre-advising, scholarships, official transcripts, etc., students may call the Student Services Center at 928-317-6436.

Student Success Center

The NAU-Yuma AVID Success Center is now closed.  Mentors & tutors are available to assist you – via email or skype/zoom- Monday – Saturday, 10am to 5pm.  They can help with  the online format/remote learning, provide writing support (review papers, etc.). Math & Science tutoring and one-one one strategies for academic success. Contact us at  NAUYumaSuccessCenter@nau.edu.

Testing Center

The Testing Center is open by appointment only. To make an appointment, students can send an email to sergio.bobadilla@nau.edu.

Writing Center

Free academic writing support is currently available via email. The Writing Center consultant will answer questions or review student papers daily, including mornings, evenings, and weekends. Students should save papers and assignment instructions as Word documents and send them as email attachments to nauyuma.writingcenter@nau.edu. Students should allow up to three days for feedback on papers although they are usually returned within one day. “Face-to-face” appointments via Zoom will be also be available soon.

Student Affairs

Our Student Affairs Offices are available virtually. We recommend you access these services online or by phone. If you need to see someone in person, our offices remain open, and we ask that you practice social distancing and use hand sanitizer. Student Affairs still welcomes students in our spaces; however, please use safe practices to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
