Students at N A U–Yuma share their research with fellow students and professors.

Join us at the NAU-Yuma Student Research Symposium, where students showcase their innovative ideas, groundbreaking research, and creative discoveries across diverse fields, including sciences, humanities, engineering, business, and education. This event celebrates the spirit of inquiry and collaboration, providing a platform for students to share their work with peers, faculty, and the community.

Students can present their work as an exhibit, performance, oral presentation, or poster presentation.

Registration details

Students interested in presenting at the Symposium must submit a completed registration form by Friday, March 28 at 11:59 pm. No late registrations will be accepted.

Information needed to complete your registration

  • basic information on all presenters, including first and last names and NAU emails
  • name and email of faculty mentor
  • presentation type
  • college/discipline represented
  • project title
  • project abstract, summary or creative statement (Max 250 words)
  • project abstract, summary or creative statement (Max 250 words)

Required Materials

Materials must be uploaded by March 28, 2025:

    1. All poster presenters must upload a PDF of their poster.
    2. Poster presenters are encouraged to upload a 5-minute video about their poster.
    3. Oral presenters are encouraged to upload a video of their presentation.

Benefits of making presentations available virtually include:

    1. Broader accessibility of your presentation
    2. A lasting record accessible on the Symposium website
    3. Flexibility for moving to a virtual platform, if necessary

Presentations can be saved and edited until Friday, March 28 at 11:59 p.m.

NAU-Yuma students want to engage you in thoughtful discussion about their work, their ideas, and their dreams. Your attendance at this event shows support for the hard work our students have put into their research and creative works for months, sometimes years. It also provides an invaluable learning experience for those who are presenting for the first time by giving them the opportunity to practice their communication skills and learn from the questions asked about their work.

How to participate

Presentations can be viewed virtually the week of April 21 and at the in-person event on April 25.

Please consider providing feedback by signing up to be a reviewer for students at one of the sessions. No experience or expertise is required. We will provide you with all of the information needed to provide constructive feedback to our student presenters.  Faculty, staff, and members from the community are all encourage to serve as reviewers. We want to show off our students work!
