Weapons, Explosives, Fireworks
Northern Arizona University prohibits the use, possession, display, or storage of any Weapon, Explosive, Fireworks, torch or torch-like device with an open flame such as a tiki torches, bomb-making materials, and unauthorized dangerous chemicals on all property owned, leased, or otherwise under the University’s control and at all University activities or events. Prohibited Weapons include firearms carried with a permit. Additionally, students and employees are required to immediately report violations or suspected violations of this policy to an appropriate University official or the NAU Police Department by calling 928-523-3611. If an incident involves an immediate threat to life or property, dial 911.

All NAU students and employees are required to immediately report the presence of a weapon on campus to the NAU Police by calling 928-523-3611. Or dial 911 in an emergency.

Per A.R.S. 13-3102.A.1.b a person contacted by law enforcement is required to inform the law enforcement officer if they are carrying a concealed weapon and the officer asks if they are armed.
