Dr. Ben Ruddell is leading the FEWSION project aimed at building the first complete empirical description of the U.S. food, energy, and water system so that every citizen and policymaker in the U.S. can see where their food, energy, and water come from.

Keck award for informatics education
Dr. John Georgas, with collaborators Dr. Chris Doughty, Dr. Crystal Hepp, and Dr. James Palmer, was awarded a $325,000 grant from the W.M. Keck Foundation for a project titled “Increasing Participation in Undergraduate Informatics Education and Research.” This work will fund the introduction of informatics learning opportunities for NAU students of all backgrounds through project- and research-based coursework.
