Spring 2020 move-in details

Preparing for your arrival to campus

In late December, an email will be sent to new incoming residents about move in. Residence Halls will officially open on Saturday January 11 with early move-in dates for specially approved groups such at Orientation.

Selecting your arrival time

All residents must schedule a move-in appointment for their arrival. This ensures a smooth and positive move-in experience for all, and reduces traffic congestion on campus.

Beginning late December, log into the housing portal to select your arrival time from one of the designated move-in dates.

What to expect at your arrival time

Move-in appointments are 20 minutes in length.  Plan to arrive at the beginning of your appointment and print your move-in appointment confirmation to display on your vehicle’s dashboard.  If you are not arriving in a personal vehicle, bring the printed confirmation with you.

Self-Service Move In

Students should plan to park in a parking stall within the designated garage or lot for their community. Please make sure to follow all University parking regulations during move-in and throughout the year.

JacksCard

You will need your JacksCard to check into your residence hall at your scheduled move-in appointment.

If you do not yet have a JacksCard, please arrange to stop first at the JacksCard office to obtain your card prior to your move-in appointment.  Make sure you have submitted your photo online prior to arriving.
