Community Council Accordion Closed
Community Councils are smaller programming and governing boards located in each residence hall community that seek to create engagement opportunities for residents to make a difference.
Community Councils accomplish this through quality programming, advocating for the residents in their communities and developing practical leadership skills. Community Councils strive to be a complement to the community building efforts of the RA Staff and other student leaders working within the halls.
- Quality programming – varied and well planned social opportunities for residents at large to come together outside of events planned by the RA staff.
- Advocacy – through representation at RHA communities can voice their opinions and seek out feedback from residents in and out of community council. Additionally, Community Councils seek to find meaningful ways of spending dedicated funds to benefit residents.
- Leadership Development – supporting both individual and group development through skill building opportunities created by RHA and the Community Council Advisor. Create opportunities for the community at large to develop leadership skills.
