Compositions and Methods for Detection and Treatment of Coronavirus Infection
Description
SARS-CoV-2 is a single-stranded RNA virus that has caused morbidity, mortality, and economic disruption on a global scale. The present method is for diagnosing, prognosing, or monitoring the treatment of coronavirus infection in a subject through highly multiplexed peptide-based serological assays in which libraries of peptide baits—each covalently coupled to a DNA barcode—are synthesized from high-complexity DNA pools using a simple and fully in-vitro approach.

Potential applications
High-resolution coronavirus detection.
Benefits and advantages
This method demonstrates accurate detection of SARS-CoV-2 exposure and reveals multiple immunodominant antibody epitopes, including at least one in which antibody responses cross-react between SARS-CoV-2 and an endemic human CoV.
