President Rita Cheng joined the Arizona Board of Regents, Gov. Doug Ducey and more than 60 Arizona leaders during a launch event for Achieve60AZ, a statewide educational attainment initiative aiming to equip 60 percent of Arizonans with some form of post-high school certificate or degree by 2030.
President Rita Cheng recently outlined “Student Success in Times of Budget Cuts” to higher education leaders from around the country during the State Higher Education Executive Officers (SHEEO) annual meeting in Baltimore, Maryland.
Collaboration and student success were focal points at the summer Arizona Board of Regents meeting in Flagstaff.
Gov. Doug Ducey selected the president to serve in the role on behalf of all three state universities.
The president traveled to Washington, D.C., this week to meet with members of the congressional delegation and leaders of federal agencies.
