Welcome to Spring 2024 at NAU
Welcome back Jacks!
I hope you all enjoyed the holidays and are rejuvenated and prepared for what will surely be an exceptional semester ahead. I know that many in our Lumberjack family spent yesterday participating in events on campus and in the community honoring the life, legacy, and enduring message of justice of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Today, we officially return to classes in Flagstaff, statewide, and online. For me, this semester brings a special sense of excitement—and some nerves!—as I return to the classroom for the first time in more than a dozen years! EE110 Introduction to Digital Logic will also mark my first time teaching a freshman-level class. I look forward to putting into practice the principles of teaching excellence shared by my colleagues at NAU and, most importantly, to contributing to our students’ learning, development, and academic momentum.
I hope you are as eager as I am for the possibilities before us in this new semester and new year. To start things off on the right foot, let’s take a minute to look back at the top 10-ish highlights of the fall semester that inspire the work ahead for the spring. Watch the video online.
I look forward to seeing you throughout the semester and wish you all the best as our Lumberjack community engages in the important work of teaching, learning, scholarship, engagement, and advocacy that makes our university so special and helps shape a brighter future.
Thank you, and go Jacks!
