“NAU is moving in the direction we want to go, making good progress,” President Rita Cheng told faculty, staff, students and Flagstaff community members at the Fall Campus Forum Wednesday. “But we still have plenty of work to do to get there.”
Nearly 5,000 faculty, staff, students and community members joined in a campus walk and gathering in the North Quad following the tragic events on Oct. 9. “I believe in this campus and in this community,” said President Rita Cheng. “I know in my heart that the bonds that hold us together will only be strengthened by our learning from and caring for each other in the days and weeks ahead.”
President Rita Cheng’s first official visit to the Flagstaff campus included a public forum during which she discussed transparency and accountability, her commitment to serving others and the vision and values she will bring to the role of president of Northern Arizona University.
