Amit Kumar Chosen for Career Development Program

Posted by gte5 on February 8, 2022

Amit Kumar, PhD, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy & Athletic Training at the Phoenix Bioscience Core, was chosen for a career development program by the Native Alzheimer’s Disease Resource Center for Minority Aging Research (NAD RCMAR). This program provides early-to-mid-career investigators the skills and mentorship to advance Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD) and health disparities research. Dr. Kumar’s project is to examine disparity in transitions of care from acute to post-acute settings in American Indians and Alaska Natives patients with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD) compared to those without an ADRD diagnosis.
