Bachelor of Science in Nursing Accordion Closed

This popular and competitive four-year Nursing program provided by NAU is offered on four different campuses around the state of Arizona. Nursing courses are taken in sequence over five semesters. Graduates are eligible to take the national licensing exam to become a registered nurse (NCLEX-RN). More information on the Bachelor of Science in Nursing is available on their degree page.

Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing Accordion Closed

If you already have earned a bachelors degree from a regionally accredited college, this accelerated option will prepare you for the registered nurses exam within 12 months. If you would like to learn more about our accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, more details are available on their degree page.

Accelerated means a full-time commitment:

Because of its accelerated format, the program requires a full-time commitment. While you are enrolled in this program, we expect that you will not work more than 16 hours per week and that you will refrain from work commitments at least 8 hours prior to class or clinicals.

You are required to travel to sites throughout the state for clinical coursework and will be responsible for travel and lodging expenses. Be aware that clinical experiences may involve several weeks of 3-5 days per week at statewide sites. You will need to plan your family and work commitments accordingly.

American Indian Program Accordion Closed

The American Indian Nursing program at NAU’s School of Nursing is the first and only reservation-based entry-level nursing program. This program admits 10 students each fall semester. Its dedicated to give priority to Native American students who are members of federally recognized tribes. Since its beginning in 1996, more than 150 American Indian nurses have graduated with their Bachelor of Science in Nursing and entered into the healthcare practice as successful licensed RN’s. Interested in learning more about our American Indian Program? Details are available at their degree page.
