Faculty led research programs at Northern Arizona University are united by an emphasis on improving health disparities in rural and underserved communities regionally, nationally, and internationally. Faculty members conduct interdisciplinary research in teams side by side with students and other faculty members. Research opportunities such as those listed below, are abundant for students throughout one’s undergraduate and graduate college experience at NAU.

On April 8th and April 9th, with guidance from NAU School of Nursing faculty Shelley Vaughn, DNP, FNP-BC, a group of soon-to-graduate FNP students presented posters at the 10th Annual Interprofessional Rural Health Professions Program Conference. Great work to all of you, and congratulations to Sharon Caravetta who earned an Excellent Poster award for her poster titled, “Improvement of Pediatric Vaccination Rates in a Rural Clinic Setting Amid COVID”.
