NAU nursing bachelor’s degrees

Welcome to the undergraduate nursing community at NAU. We offer Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degrees for pre- and post-licensure students, with traditional, online, and accelerated pathways. By integrating emerging healthcare trends into our academic curricula and utilizing state-of-the-art facilities, we ensure that your education leads to excellence in nursing practice. Fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, our programs are designed to prepare you for a fulfilling career as a registered nurse (RN).

Pre-licensure BSN programs

Traditional BSN

Embark on a traditional university track where nursing courses are taken in sequence over five semesters. Upon graduation, you’ll be ready to sit for the national licensing exam to become a registered nurse (NCLEX-RN).

Traditional BSN (Compressed)

Looking for a faster route? Explore our Compressed Program that allows you to complete all nursing requirements in as little as sixteen months.

American Indian Program

A unique pathway to an entry-level nursing degree, the American Indian Program (AIP) gives priority to Native American students who are members of federally recognized tribes.

Concurrent Enrollment Program (CEP)

If you prefer to start with an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in nursing, the CEP and mid-AAS options are pathways to earn your AAS and traditional BSN concurrently.

Accelerated BSN

If you already have a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college, the Accelerated Option prepares you for the licensing exam in 12 months.

Post-licensure RN to BSN programs

BSN – Option for Registered Nurses

RNs who already graduated from an accredited associate-level nursing program are eligible to apply for the all-online Option for Registered Nurses degree, which follows a traditional semester schedule.
