Quantum Ternary Key Distribution


Description

The technology distributes ternary keys through quantum communication channels and generates private keys to secure open communication channels. Existing optical quantum channels are appropriate for ternary key distribution. In addition, the technology enables the use of public keys that consists of trits, which are more effective in handling cryptographic tables. Trits are distributed through Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) channel by transmitting polarized photons. The generation of binary private keys, processed by both communicating parties, uses ternary computing operations and ternary keys. The private keys can be used to transmit securely encrypted messages through potentially unsecured communication channels.
