Men’s Chorale (soon to be called Vox Montes)
- Voicing: Tenor & Bass Ensemble
- Rehearsals: MWF 12:40 – 1:30 pm
Founded in 1989, Men’s Chorale (soon to be called Vox Montes or Voice of the Mountains) is a vital part of the NAU choral studies area and reflects the grounded beauty of the San Francisco Peaks in Flagstaff. Undergraduate and graduate students who enjoy the experience of singing in tenor & bass choruses may enroll during the fall and/or spring semesters. The ensemble performs a wide variety of repertoire from different musical styles and periods, from Renaissance music, opera choruses, and global folksongs to du-wop, spirituals, and barbershop. Vox Montes is a spirited community of singers that enjoy sharing their music on the NAU campus, in the Flagstaff community, and across Arizona. In addition to on-campus concerts in the newly-renovated Ardrey Memorial Auditorium, the ensemble has performed at NAU athletic events, the Easter Sunrise Service at the Grand Canyon, and for local outreach and advocacy events.
Men’s Chorale is open to music majors and non-music majors who love to sing from all degree programs across the mountain campus. Year-long participation is encouraged.
