Founded in 1989, the NAU Men’s Chorale is vital part of the NAU choral studies area. Undergraduate and graduate students who enjoy the experience of singing in the male chorus tradition may enroll during the fall and/or spring semesters. The ensemble which meets three times a week over the lunch hour, performs a wide variety of repertoire that incorporates selections from different musical styles and periods, including Renaissance motets, du-wop, opera choruses, spirituals, barbershop, and folksongs from around the world. The Chorale is a true brotherhood of men that enjoys sharing their music on the NAU campus, in the Flagstaff community, and statewide. In addition to on-campus concerts in the newly-renovated Ardrey Memorial Auditorium, the ensemble has performed at NAU athletic events, the Easter Sunrise Service at the Grand Canyon, and for local service clubs.
Men’s Chorale is open to music majors and non-music majors who love to sing from all degree programs across the mountain campus.
