Dr. Constantin Ciocanel, Associate Professor, is the Director of the Multifunctional Materials and Adaptive Systems Laboratory. His research expertise is in smart materials, multifunctional materials, and adaptive systems, and focuses on the development and characterization of lightweight power storage composite materials, as well as on the modeling, characterization, and implementation of magnetic shape memory alloys, magnetorheological fluids, shape memory alloys, and piezoelectric materials.
