Mary DeJong and Amy Hughes from our Teaching, Learning and Research Services unit participated in the poster session presentation for NAU’s Showcase of Strategies for Student Success (Assessment Fair). Wrapping up a multi-year long project, one of the posters described the project’s research methodology, a literature review and content analysis, to assess whether or not curriculum mapping is a useful tool for librarians to use to integrate information literacy skills across a degree program. The second poster showed the results of a survey which was implemented in two classes, to determine students’ understanding of peer-reviewed journal articles.
