Doors to the Skydome open 90 minutes prior to each commencement ceremony, and parking will be available at multiple locations across campus with free shuttle service to and from designated parking lots. Early arrival is key to finding good parking and seating. Seating for your graduate will be “east seating” or “west seating.” Please talk with your student to find out where he or she will be seated in order to sit on the same side for best viewing. Please note you may not bring air horns, balloons or large signs to the Skydome that may disturb or block others who are viewing the ceremony.
NAU is near the intersection of Interstates 17 and 40. Driving directions and parking information will help you get to campus easily.
Find your way around and note parking lot locations throughout campus. Free shuttle busses will get you to and from the Skydome from designated parking lots on campus.
Guests do not need to call ahead for accessible seating accommodations. The Skydome has accessible seating with companion seating for individuals in wheelchairs and scooters, as well as limited, first come first served designated seating for those who have trouble negotiating stairs. Golf cart shuttles will be in the Walkup Skydome parking lot (P66) to assist you from your vehicle to the Skydome. We recommend that individuals who need assistance or accessible seating arrive at least an hour before the ceremony (doors open 90 minutes before the ceremony). Please contact the Disability Resources Office as early as possible at 928-523-8773 or DR@nau.edu, if you have questions about access or other accommodation needs.
