EduRoam Gives Travelers Secure WiFi

EduRoam Gives Travelers Secure WiFi

NAU has joined and implemented eduroam, (education roaming) the secure, world-wide roaming access service developed for the international research and education community. Eduroam allows travelers from eduroam institutions to gain secure wireless (Wi-Fi) network access using user account information maintained by their home institution.  This benefits visiting faculty, academics traveling for conferences and collaborative work, study abroad students, visitors attending NCAA activities, and even regional academic exchange.

ITS Consolidation

ITS Consolidation

In an effort aimed at improving services and lowering costs, NAU embarked on a consolidation of ITS resources, infrastructure, and personnel in the spring of 2015. In addition to the creation of a centralized classroom and desktop support team, a centralized computer purchasing office was organized. In the autumn of 2015, the ITS organization itself was restructured to incorporate the previously heterogeneous entities spread across various departments and colleges at the university.

So let's review a few indicators that an email or its associated website are not what they claim.

Trying to Share Huge Files? Here's How.

Occasionally,  NAU faculty, staff or students need to share files with external organizations that are too large to attach to an email.  How should you share your research results with a colleague at another university,  or submit reporting to a regulatory agency, or share your video project with collaborators outside of NAU?
