Front DeskHRM Ambassadors and Concierges
At the School of Hotel and Restaurant Management, we live our values. We want students to be engaged in the spirit of hospitality from their earliest days. We invite any interested student to become an HRM Concierge – even as a first year student! As the students gain experience, they are invited to apply to be an HRM Ambassador.
HRM Concierges
Our Concierge program introduces students to the front-line of hospitality. Students volunteer to work any number of hours at the School’s front desk. Students will answer phones, greet guests, answer questions, and give tours of our facility. Students will earn work hours toward their 1,200 required hours for their volunteer time at our front desk.
HRM Ambassadors
More experienced students are invited to apply to serve as HRM Ambassadors. The HRM Ambassadors act as liaisons between the School of Hotel and Restaurant Management and current and prospective students and their parents. They help train the Concierges and work on special projects for the School.
HRM Student Ambassadors are available for HRM students to use as a resource, assisting them with various aspects of their experiences at HRM such as class overrides, scholarship paperwork, and more. Ambassadors provide information and advice to continuing and prospective students and other visitors about HRM courses, HRM faculty, and HRM degree and certificate programs. Ambassadors help facilitate the Pathways events, Fireside Chats, and Discover NAU events. They escort prospective students and other visitors on building tours, help plan events like the hospitality career fair, and are the voice of students in HRM.
Our Ambassadors are an enthusiastic group who want to help make your HRM experience a great one. Learn a little more about each of our Ambassadors in their bios below.

Hello HRM! My name is Addison Sandoz and I am a Junior this year. This will be my third year in the Ambassadors and Concierge program and I am so excited to be an Ambassador for a second year and can’t wait to see what Junior year holds. I am majoring in Hotel and Restaurant Management with a certificate in Interior Design. I’m a member of Delta Sigma Pi, was the President of the Disney Club and am a Restaurant Operations 243 TA. I aspire to work for a hotel real estate investment company or a property management company and hope to work towards owning my own boutique hotel somewhere in Europe!
I am originally from the great state of Texas and wear my cowgirl hat proudly! I fell in love with the small town vibe of Flagstaff because it reminded me of my town back home. Arizona is an amazing state filled with exciting adventures.
If you have any questions about HRM, NAU, or just want to say hello you can email us at HRM.Ambassadors@nau.edu

Annie Accordion Closed
Hi HRM Lumberjacks, My name is Annie Hua, and I am a Senior in this academic year 2020-2021. I am all the way from Saigon – Vietnam, a tropical city which is very far away from the United States but Flagstaff city and NAU HRM have been a wonderful second home to me. NAU HRM has given me a great opportunity to join the Ambassador and Concierge Program since 2019 and I am very excited to be an Ambassador as the very first international student to hold the position. I can’t wait to contribute my capabilities to NAU HRM with promising school projects, interesting pathways, and exciting career fairs as well as to support both international and local students around the campus, especially for new students.
Resigning my favorite job as a flight attendant after more than 5 years and continuing my education in America is not an easy thing to me. However, with my amazing experiences at NAU HRM and one of my favorite quotes to new students “Life begins at the end of your comfort zone”, so I strongly encourage you all to always keep moving forward, going further, exploring and collecting experiences as much as you can while you are still young!
You can meet me at HRM front desk or email me if you have any question about NAU HRM at HRM.Ambassadors@nau.edu
